Scope Ratings GmbH is looking for a highly reliable and meticulous colleague with strong quantitative and analytical abilities to join the Independent Review Function (IRF) team. 

The IRF team is responsible for the approval and periodic review of rating methodologies, models and key rating assumptions, such as mathematical or correlation assumptions, and any significant changes or modifications thereto as well as the appropriateness of those methodologies, models and key rating assumptions. It fosters the strength and coherence of the analytical capabilities of Scope Ratings and acts as discussion partner to the analytical teams as well as an interface to Scope Ratings’ Independent Directors and the European Securities and Markets Authority. 

Your responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain audit proof documentation and maintenance of quantitative models.
  • Develop approaches to meet regulatory requirements towards scientific/quantitative validation, back-testing and calibration of methodologies.
  • Support the development of new rating methodologies in liaison with the analytical rating franchises and the Quantitative Analysis & Modelling team
  • Participate in rating methodology reviews

Your professional profile

  • Knowledge of financial products and markets
  • Experience in credit risk analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong statistical skills with the ability to apply in practice
  • Programming experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS office tools like Excel (with VBA), Word and PowerPoint
  • Detailed knowledge of R and/or SQL is a strong plus
