We are looking for you - with a keen perception, enthusiasm for the fund market and the topic of real assets. To expand our team for alternative investment funds, we are looking for a Director – Alternative Investment Funds with knowledge of alternative investments to join our office in Frankfurt.

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Represents the Head of Alternative Investments in case of absence
  • Acts as communication point-of-contact between Scope Fund Analysis and customers
  • Enhances Scope’s analytical capabilities and methodologies 
  • Analyses qualitative and quantitative fund aspects such as structural risks, operational risks, legal and regulatory aspects
  • Leads fund rating committees 
  • Monitors existing ratings and if necessary recommends reviews and changes on a timely basis
  • Creates and monitors peer groups
  • Is able to conduct discussions with clients, investors and asset managers, as well as giving presentations, explanations and briefings at a highly professional level 
  • Is able and ready to travel and to show flexibility in accepting tasks and duties and carrying them out as directed
  • Works closely with other Alternative Investments team members, staff and management in Scope Fund Analysis and coordinates the workload of junior analysts 
  • Produces high-quality, insightful and forward-looking research and analytical comments on a timely basis
  • Informs colleagues in new topics and passes on knowledge within the team
  • Provides guidance to other team members to produce regular performance reports and analyses

Your professional & personal profile

  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial industry, that reflects analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of Alternative Investments focusing on the private equity and debt sector
  • Extensive knowledge of private markets, such as private equity and private debt, infrastructure and real estate
  • Willingness to take responsibility with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
  • Experiences in research writing with strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and motivate others to do the same
  • Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills
